GrannyCart Theatre is named after the blue folding cart our beloved neighbor Rose left behind on 9th Street when she passed. We aim to honor the historically shared heartbeat of the East Village and her spirit by capturing the light of community and sharing its warmth through storytelling.
Alexandra Matsu and Megan Twamley believe that joy is an act of resistance.
